We have kept adding more information and new sections, and this has resulted in a drastic website re-structuring! We also welcomed Rachel Spiegel to our team! Our group now numbers four volunteers.

These are some highlights of the changes to the website:

A new Stakeholders Initiative was launched, together with its first 3-month project: Data Visualization in Urban Metabolism
We contacted a large number of authors and requested their help in adding and improving the publications database. This has led to the launch of a section of authors, as well as an increase in the number of publications that are available. We would like to thank all authors who helped contribute information!
We launched our blog! The first two posts have been made available and we are planning to continuously add new posts.
We restructured our website to make navigating it easier. The main sections are now 'About', 'OMAT', 'Publications & Research', 'Data', 'Stakeholders Initiative', and 'More'

January 30, 2016

The quantity of publications continues to grow. More and more projects and data is becoming available, and we have started to work on implementing different ways of displaying information. Our team has expanded to three members.

Important updates made to the website, including the following:

The website was renamed to Metabolism of Cities. The domain name was changed accordingly.
An online map was added, showing the geographical distribution of the studies in our publication collection.
A regional data collection project was started. Data is currently being added, with 37 case studies and 220 indicators currently identified.

Improvements to OMAT include automatic indicator calculation, indicator customization, time graphs, per-capital calculations and a travel log.

OMAT is now available for public use! Projects can be created online and users can get to work instantly.
The following options are available in OMAT:
- Option to load the EUROSTAT framework with a single click
- Option to define an own dataset
- Easy entering of datapoints including the related year, source, and comments
- Option to manage Data Quality Indicators
- Back-end options include management of contacts, data sources, documents, and time logging
- Instant generation of various indicators and their graphs
The website was fully uploaded to github and can be modified by anyone
