This interactive data visualization asks users to type in a word, and then see that word translated into every available option in Google Translate. By clicking on a word of a country, one sees the dominate language spoken there and other facts about the prominence of the language. If a language has been exported to another country, lines are drawn on the map to indicate influence. One quickly sees that English and Spanish have a global presence.
