This interactive visualization by Google is a better graphic to explain the relative abundance of elements in the periodic table. Under "Size", a user can look at how often elements are mentioned in books, are found in the human body, in the earth's crust (like the image tried to depict in yesterday's post), in the ocean, etc. Then under "Shape", one can represent that information as bars, cubes, or electrons.
